Kenedi and Quinn met freshman year at Texas Tech through mutual friends and after being around each other a few times, Kenedi was instantly interested in Quinn even to the point of telling her friend that she could see herself falling in love with him one day. There were many failed flirting attempts but their time came when they went to semi formal together junior year in 2019. Kenedi was supposed to go alone but was told last minute that Quinn wanted to go to formal and because they were friends she said she would take him. And that’s where their story begins. Senior year came around and they spent everyday together whether it was studying together, golfing, or just hanging out with friends. It wasn’t until 2021 and the night of Quinn’s birthday, as they were slow dancing to Frank Sinatra and having deep conversations about life, that he told her he loved her.

Following graduation, Quinn decided to join the military and for the last 2.5 years they have been long distance. Although there have been tough moments, they wouldn’t change anything. It’s helped their relationship grow and strengthen to where they are today. After 5 years together, Quinn decided that it was time for him to propose. FaceTiming Kenedi the night before in DC and sending pictures pretending to be fishing the morning of, Quinn flew in April 19th and surprised her on the Atico rooftop in Fort Worth and asked her to marry him. Even though the only words she could get out at first were, “Why are you here? How did you get here?”, once he got down on one knee, she couldn’t say yes fast enough. They are both so excited to be entering this new chapter together; learning, growing, and falling more in love with each other every day.
